    I can imagine the pitch for this..."Ok, you know how re-makes have had a history of flopping and being completely horrible? Well, we are going to remake Overboard....but wait, we are going to switch the characters around...but wait, we are going to make one of them Latino and give it a vague 'Spangl...

    A remake done right.

    I imagine the pitch was hard, let's take a classic, swap the gender roles, make it a spanglish film. I'm sure you had some nay-sayers, and I would have been with them. But I feel like they seriously pulled it off.
